Itinerary:
I'm no gelato expert, but I've been told by several people that a certain gelato place in Corso Italia is the best in the city. I've been to this place a few times, and I would hardly disagree. It's made by hand and they have approximately one bazillion different flavors. Let's hike there and you can decide for yourself.

We will meet at Davisville Station and follow this simple, but nice route:
- west along the Kay Gardner Beltline Trail
- west along the York Beltline Trail
- south through Prospect Cemetery to Lansdowne & St Clair
- head to a nearby gelato place

Post-hike gelato is highly encouraged, but not a required part of the event. There isn't much in the way of seating, so we will find a nice spot in nearby Earlscourt Park to enjoy our gelato.

Route Rundown:
Distance: 10 km
Pace: between 4.5 - 5.0 km/h
Expected Time: 2 - 2.5 hours + gelato time
Trails: Mostly paved and gravel trails with a few sidewalks
Terrain: Mostly flat, a few rolling sections

PLEASE NOTE: The University-Spadina Subway (also known as Line 1) will be closed between Downsview and St Clair West. If you need to traverse this section of the subway, please give yourself some extra time.

See the map below for the rough hiking route. Click the points for transit information.

Event Directions:Davisville Subway Station is located on the Yonge Subway (also known as Line 1) at the corner of Yonge St and Davisville Ave/Chaplin Cres. We will meet outside the main entrance to the station at the SW corner of the intersection. Look for me with a Blue Jays cap and a black backpack.
