So, one of my greatest fears in life are crowds. I especially do not like crowds in tight spaces.

Today, I have to go to the west end and with the Bloor Subway closed between Keele and St. George, I would have to otherwise take a shuttle bus, and crowded buses do not make me very comfortable.

So, instead I'm gonna do an urban hike in order to get around that TTC mess.

This hike will go from the N.E. Corner - Bay & Queens Quay which is just outside Queens Quay Streetcar Station (Yes, that's a real station) and will head to Runnymede Station in the neighborhood of Swansea for a 10.5 km route.

The trail itself is primarily on paved trails or sidewalks, with just one challenging hill/staircase close to the end. Otherwise, it's pretty flat.

    How to Get There:
    Event Directions:

So, we'll be meeting on the North-East corner of Bay and Queens Quay, which is just outside of of the newly re-opened Queens Quay Streetcar Station.

Queen Quay Station can be accessed by taking the streetcar south from Union Station or riding the Spadina or Exhibition Streetcar.

This event will be starting a little later than a normal urban hike, because of travel times during the Pan-Am Games.
