Hike through East York (~8.5 km) (8/18/2015)

Itinerary:

Hike from Castle Frank subway station to Donlands subway station. We'll go at a steady, moderate pace (4.5 km/hr.) for a total distance of about 8.5 km in two hours. Afterwards I'll go to a local establishment for a lovely drink if anyone is interested.

Route

  1. North from Castle Frank, down Milkman's Lane
  2. Past Brickworks to Pottery Rd.
  3. South along Don Valley Recreation Trail
  4. Cut along an abandoned rail path
  5. East through Riverdale Park & along Bain Ave
  6. Continue through Withrow Park & Strathcona Ave
  7. Up through Phin Ave Parkette to Donlands subway station

    Castle Frank subway station is located on Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth), 2 stop east of the Bloor-Yonge subway station. We'll meet just outside the main entrance.


    Notes:

    This hike will go forward rain or shine.

    We will be leaving within five (5) minutes of the start time. Please arrive on time as I put my phone on silent once we begin.
