This event is restricted to FAST and experienced hikers who have already gone on my "FAST" or "ALMOST FAST" hikes, or similarly challenging events

WE WON'T BE WAITING FOR STRAGGLERS.

The fine print

  • This D4 hike will be 16 km. We will maintain a fast pace of at least 6.5 km/h. (up to 7 km/h at times)
  • Please, if you sign up for this hike, ensure that you can walk at least 6.5 km/h for this distance.
  • THIS IS A FAST HIKE FOR STRONG HIKERS. IT IS NOT A CASUAL STROLL.
  • WE WILL BE WALKING VERY QUICKLY, AND WE WON'T BE WAITING FOR STRAGGLERS.

OK, now that you`ve read all the warnings, come out for a great workout!

This hike will be along a mix of pavement, gravel and dirt paths, with 2 big hills and a bunch of lesser hills. There may be a muddy section.

This is the route we will take.

  • Start at York Mills subway station
  • Walk all the streets of Hoggs Hollow
  • Walk some of the streets of York Mills
  • End at York Mills subway station

  • How to Get There:
    Event Directions:

    We are NOT meeting at the corner of Yonge and York Mills.

    We ARE meeting on Old York Mills Rd which is immediately south of the Shell gas station.

    If coming from the 401:
    Drive south along Yonge St into the valley. Look for Old York Mills, which is one block south of York Mills Road & Wilson Ave.

    Parking information There is parking available on the north/west corner. Please note: You will have to pay for parking, even on weekends.

    If coming by Transit:
    Travel to York Mills subway station on the Yonge Subway line.
    3 Stops south of Finch, 7 stops north of Bloor.
    Exit at at the south-entrance. There are signs on the platform pointing to 'Old York Mills Road' Follow those signs.

    We'll meet at the entrance, its just across the street from the Shell Gas Station.
