Itinerary:
Note: Drivers will get preference on the waiting list. I'll increase the maximum number of participants as we get more drivers. You can also meet us directly at Dundas Driving Park - I'll move you to the attendee list.

We'll park our vehicles at the Dundas Driving Park, and then head towards the Dundas Peak, which offers a panoramic view of the area. The town of Dundas will be celebrating its Cactus Festival: we may walk 1-2 km through the city streets to explore the festival (and probably grab something to eat). After the Dundas Peak, we'll check out the Webster's and Tews waterfalls in the Spencer Gorge Conservation Area.

We'll then visit the Armstronog Trail in the RBG Rock Chapel Sanctuary via the Sydenham Hill lookout, before returning to the Dundas Driving Park.

The total distance is around 20 km, and the pace will be around 4 km/hr. The event is classified as D4, because the hike involves four climbs: Starting point to Dundas Peak, Webster's Falls to Dundas Peak, Sydenham Hill base to Sydenham lookout and Armstrong Trail base to Sydenham lookout. Not particularly difficult, but might be tiring.

Required Items to Bring:
  • Water
  • Food: You may grab something at Dundas, but please don't count on it, since we may not have enough time to visit the festival.
  • Hiking shoes
  • Weather-appropriate clothing
  • Money for the carpool (around $7-$10)
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
  • Camera
  • Insect repellent cream/spray
  • Sunscreen
  • Towel/Hanky to wipe off the sweat
