Rouge Park 20k (5/2/2015)

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Once you've reviewed the event details, and decided you'd like to join us, you MUST sign up at the bottom of this page.

You are STRONGLY encouraged to read this page in its entirety before signing up. If you'd like to attend, we ask that you abide by our rules and procedures as a time/cost saving process (with an end result of keeping membership free and lower cost events).

Itinerary:

DISTANCE ==> 20k

DIFFICULTY ==> 4 - This hike will have many hills and we will keep up a good pace.
There will be a few very steep hills which we will ascend and descend. Expect a workout!!

PACE ==> about 5+ km/h

MAX PARTICIPANTS ==> about 10, depending on # of drivers, passengers, and those who will meet at event

Members on the waiting list who are willing to drive will get first priority.
Passengers will be added as drivers become available.

Alternatively, you can also meet us at the hike starting location.

DRIVERS, WHEN YOU SIGN UP, PLEASE ANSWER THE CARPOOL QUESTION REGARDING THE NUMBER OF PASSENGERS YOU CAN TAKE IN YOUR CAR!!!


  • This hike will have many hills and we will keep up a good pace.
  • We will start at Glenrouge Campground on Kingston Road and head north on the trails.
  • We'll cover a bit more of the trails than shown on the map above.
  • I've got a nice spot for a lunch stop (if I can find that log again)

  • Water 1- 2L (as much as you need)
  • Weather appropriate clothing

How to Get There:

If carpooling: meet at 9:20 AM. Carpool Departure Time: 9:30 AM SHARP !!

If you plan to get to Kennedy at 9:30, and the subway is 5 minutes late, you will miss the hike!


We'll meet at the Passenger Drop-Off Entrance
Kennedy Station has free parking on weekends

If meeting at event: meet at 9:55 AM. Hike starts at 10:00 AM SHARP !!
