Itinerary:

For this hike, we'll be starting at Eglinton West Station, and ending at Chester Station.

Approx. distance is about 11 KM and we'll be walking at about 4.5-5.0 km/h.

Terrain will differ between mainly park path and neighborhood roads/sidewalks, but will also have some single track dirt trails. So, really a little bit of everything.

Oh, and as usual, there will be a hill close to the end.

I'm expecting a good portion of the hike to be on snow, so hiking boots or hiking boots or winter boots are a good idea.

Following the hike, I'm gonna head over to a local watering hole for a pint. You're welcomed to come, but it's not mandatory.

Required Items to Bring:
  • Good footwear - hiking boots or hiking shoes are preferred
  • Water and snacks
  • Flashlight or headlight
  • Weather appropriate clothing
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
  • Poles
  • Icers, otherwise known as traction devices
  • A Smile

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

Eglinton West Subway Station is located on Line 1 (Yonge-University-Spadina), 4 stations north of St. George Station and 5 Stations south of Downsview.

For those driving, the station is located at Eglinton Avenue and Allan Road. However, I don't suggest driving, as the traffic in that area is awful.
