Itinerary:
This is a shortened version of another posting - just in case people that would do a weekend didn't read the posting thinking it was 7 days only. Sign up and join me for hiking and activities in Haliburton at, hopefully, the peak of the fall colours.

This is ideal for those that want to do day hikes but want luxuries that a campsite doesn’t offer because our base is the Two Hours to Heaven cottage on Little Kennisis. (This isn’t my idea of a cottage because it has internet, hot tub, water slide, big TV, DVD player, washing machine, etc..)

Day trip options include hiking, canoeing, the Walk in the Clouds ($95), the wolf centre. On the weekend, I would hope to be hiking both days. If we have a group of 8, we can have a session at the Dark Sky Preserve ($20 each). If there is torrential rain, we can check out the local winery which is the only one that makes maple wine. There are also some museums and art galleries if we want to go into town.

In the evening, I’m picturing communal meals/barbeques with perhaps a different type of cuisine nightly, board games, movies, some quiet time for reading, etc.. In the morning I plan to meditate and do yoga or go for a run.

The cottage holds 8, with queen beds in 3 rooms and bunks in a fourth, so sharing of beds may be required. For people coming for just the weekend, the cottage will be $50 per person.

Note that my son will be there for the weekend.
The car pool departure is currently set late because my son has a commitment in the evening. I am hoping for enough cars so that some of us can go up earlier in the evening.

A trip meeting will be held Wednesday at 6:15 at Loblaws at St. Clair West at the tables on the grocery shopping floor.
