Itinerary:
length: approx. 15 km elevation: 296 m This is a nice moderate hike that we did in both the spring and the fall last year. We'll start at Rattlesnake Point Conservation area and follow the Nassagaweya Canyon Trail (7.2 km - about 2 to 2.5 hours) to Crawford Lake Conservation Area. We'll take a lunch break, and we'll also have a chance to see the reconstructed 15th century Iroquoian village at Crawford Lake. Then we'll hike back to our starting point. How to Get There:
Event Directions:Event Directions: Take 401 west to Interchange 320 south (Milton) onto Martin St. Turn right onto Steeles Avenue (Regional Rd 8). At Appleby Line turn left. Follow Appleby Line southeast past 14th Sideroad and on to the Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area entrance on the right. Park in the Upper parking lot.
