Wow!! What a perfect, adventurous hike today!
There was a very strong wind from the SE creating huge waves that
crashed into the beach and the seawall boulders that we had to walk
on.
No rain fell during the hike, even though the forecast called for
about 50 mm of rain during the day.
The air was mild, about 14c. We all got wet from the crashing
waves to some degree, but we kept warm enough while hiking.
After we finished the beach portion of the hike, on the way back
to Main St. we stopped at a hockey arena for hot drinks and a bathroom
break at the 9 km point.
Can't wait to do this hike again!
